It was our wedding night. The day was very exciting for me. I had said my vows to be with my husband forever. In sickness or in health.
Even though my family wasn't in support of our marriage, they wanted me to be happy. I was happy with Dele.
We had arrived from the reception. The hotel was so beautiful and they treated us with decency. My husband, gave me reassuring smiles. He always kissed my palm at every opportunity.
We had gotten to our room.
"This place is magnificent, Dele." I whispered as soon we were alone. He hugged me from behind, his arms caressing mine.
"Yes baby. For us both." He said and kissed my neck."
It tickled and I chuckled, moving away a bit. His hand went to my dress and unzipped. The dress formed a pool at my feet and I stepped out. I was nervous as he turned me around to look at him. I had never done this before but his calm state gave me hope.
Soon we were both naked and he made me ready by pleasuring my inner self with his fingers. He kissed every bit of my body and all I wanted was more. More.
When he tore through the barrier, I screamed. He was huge. I had never imagined that it could be as painful as this. But he moved and I felt pleasure build within me.
It was my first night and I never knew it was to be my last. After our intense lovemaking, I slept off. Due to the events of the day, I was extremely tired.
I woke up in the middle of the night. I wanted to ease myself. I turned to my side but Dele wasn't there.
Maybe he had gone out for a while, I thought.
After doing the ladies thing, I decided to step out. The hallway was very dark with only red lights on. That was strange because the hallway wasn't illuminated that way.
I gulped as I took assuring steps down the hallway and into the glass elevator. The whole building seemed to be illuminated with those red lights. I tried to breathe properly. Fear already harbored in me.
When I got to the last floor, I ran to the reception. There was a man seated there. But he had his face turned to the other side.
"Excuse me. Can I contact my husband please?" I asked as calmly as I could. But he didn't reply.
"Hello." I called again and proceeded to touch him. When I did, his body fell with a thud to the ground. His face had been cut beyond recognition.
I screamed and ran towards the main door but it was locked. The lights started to flicker which made me scream even louder. It was then I saw the bodies on the floor and all around me.
This...this hotel was demonic. I began to hear chanting from a corner. I staggered towards the place, like a blind bat.
Men in black clothes were seated and chanting. Dele, my husband led them. He was dressed in white. He sat differently from the others. He wasn't sitting but floating.
I staggered backwards in fright and ran towards the main door again. I grabbed a vase and threw it against the door. I tried to open the door. It was locked with a key. I removed my hair pin from my hair and inserted it into the key hole. I twisted for a while before it opened.
"Laura!" I heard someone call my name. It was Dele. He stood in his white attire. His eyes filled with anger
"God punish you!" I screamed and ran out. I ran as fast as I could. I broke through the gates and ran unto the road.
It was better I died by something natural than by Dele. I stopped in front of an oncoming vehicle and closed my eyes.
